Off to the Falklands

Well I am now off to the Falkland Islands today and will not be back until the end of January 2009.

I will attempt to keep this blog updated but to be quite honest it maybe quite difficult given the time differences and the Internet availability. I had hoped to give a weekly Under 2.5 goal prediction but will have to see how things pan out to see if this is possible.

Trade On Cricket will run as normal and those that subscribe to the newsletter normal service will resume in February. Thankyou all very much for reading and I hope to update this blog sooner rather than later.

All the best and good luck with your trading

A tentative selection

Yesterdays matches proved unspectacular. A small profit (2.18%) could have been made on the Sunderland v Middlesbrough game by backing at 1.87 and laying at 1.83 and a loss (1.03%) would have been made on the Blackburn v Fulham game by backing at 1.93 and laying at 1.95. Leaving a very small profit of 1.15%

I am not over enamoured by todays matches but I believe by Backing Under 2.5 goals at 1.88 in the Hull v Everton match may produce a profit pre match. But be warned with the Chelsea v Man Utd game on at the same time liquidity could prove a problem in a day packed with significant sport.

So I would only get involved in this for interest.

Under 2.5 goal trading 20 Sep 08

Just a very quick update. After looking at today’s matches the games I like the look of for trading pre match are

Blackburn v Fulham Back Unders @ 1.93 trade for profit or loss just before kick off

Sunderland v Middlesbrough Back Unders @ 1.87 trade for profit or loss just before kick off

I shall be back later with more

A quick update

Just a quick update. I am off to Berlin until next Tuesday before preparing to leave for the Falkland Islands on the 22nd of September.

I anticipate that from now on I will be updating this blog on a weekly basis where I hope to be able to give advise on the Under 2.5 goals pre match markets until my return sometime in February 2009.

Massa the value in Belgian Grand Prix

My Formula 1 mate fancies Felipe Massa to win this afternoons Belgian Grand Prix and believes the current price of 3.9 offers some value. He also believes if starting well that Kimi Raikkonen should not be ruled out as he has previously won this race three times.

With this in mind he has suggested having a straight bet on Massa at 3.9 and laying Hamilton at 1.83 on Betfair.

Yesterdays trading pre match proved successful in the Macedonia v Scotland match you could have backed Unders at 1.67 and layed pre match at 1.58 leaving a 5.69% profit or £28.48 profit to £5 a tick stakes.

I suffered from a complete error of judgement last night by backing £100 on Khan at 1.13. I basically regarded this as free money as I could not believe that Frank Warren would in any way risk his money making charge against someone half decent. Apparently Khans new trainer picked the opponent. Anyway I believed my bet would pay to watch the fight and I ended up with egg on my face. Nevermind another lesson learnt. Never ever back a so called sure thing no matter what the circumstances.
