I’m not used talking on NFL and betting on football. This year though I’ll make an exception, given come this day next year, the whole world will be talking about the Super Bowl 50. The Golden Anniversary Game. But first, let’s say a few words about NFL for newcomers.
What is NFL?
The National Football League (NFL) is a professional US-based football league which consists of 32 teams. These teams are divided into an equal manner between the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). It’s one of the four important sports leagues held in North America, and many consider it to be the best professional level of American football across the globe.
The 2014 NFL season, which kicked off on the 4th of September 2014, resulted in the New England Patriots beating the Seahawks 28-24 at the Super Bowl XLIX. People are now focused on the NFL event this year with baited breath since it’s supposed to be even better than last year, with more excitement and action.
No surprise there.
The 2015 NFL Season – A brief overview
The 2015 NFL Season will be the 96th episode in the history of this world famous event. It’ll be commencing on the 10th September, 2015, and the maiden game will feature New England Patriots against an opponent that will be announced later. The season will conclude on 7th February, 2016 in California-based Levi’s Stadium.
The training camps for this season will take place in late July all through August. Before the commencement of the first game, each team will play four exhibition games. Close to 256 games will be played over a seventeen week period which starts on Thursday night after Labor Day.
The International Series will begin on the 4th week on the 4th of October, 2015. This will witness the Miami Dolphins hosting the New York Jets. The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Buffalo Bills on October 25th. The third and final game will be played in London featuring the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions. This match is scheduled for the 1st November, 2015 (8th week).

NFL 2015 predictions and betting odds
The NFL event this year could have a familiar feel of NFL 2014.
The team that has made its way to four consecutive AFC title games is anticipated to compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It’s once again likely for the Patriots and Seahawks to put up a strong fight in the final game of the season. At the same time, many believe that the Packers and Broncos will fight for the championship on the 1st of February. Those four teams are topping the 2016 NFL futures betting at Carbon sportsbook for football at the time of writing.
New England and Seattle reached the final as they were expected at the start of the 2014 season. Much like NFL 2015, Green Bay was projected to be the third best odds to begin the year. According to various sportsbooks for NFL, the four teams that participated in 2014 NFL’s conference championship games were the hot favorites to emerge as the winners in Super Bowl XLIX.
Prediction of Super Bowl 50
The betting odds favor the Seahawks and the Patriots alike. A rematch of 2015 Super Bowl is possibly the most likely outcome while Packers and Broncos are likely contenders. Yet, it is too soon to make any reliable prediction. Don’t expect me pulling a rabbit out of a hat so early!
